Babies do not need much space before they can run and play. At the beginning, the baby room is mainly for your comfort and liking.
The main items to be kept in a baby room are the crib, a baby changing station, a dresser and a trash can, which should be emptied regularly. Other items include a cradle that helps the baby fall asleep, a rocking chair that has a similar effect to the cradle and stimulates the baby.
Arranging these items is not the biggest effort you can do. Provided you have the space you need to go around the room without removing furniture. If you need to move furniture to move, it means the room is not big enough or there are unnecessary items lying around.
The cot should be easily accessible in the dark. Therefore, there must always be a free space for you to walk to get to your baby. Most people prefer to keep the path as straight as possible so that walking in the dark is not difficult.
In many houses and apartments are already installed wardrobes. If an additional chest of drawers is needed, it does not have to be near the cot. You can place this item on the wall next to the door or next to the built-in cupboard.
A reel station works in any part of the room, as long as it does not block anything or an item is not placed directly in front of it. Ideally, a rewind station near the cot may be beneficial, especially if the baby is immediately put back into the cot. The trash can must be right next to it for practical reasons.
A rocking chair or armchair could be helpful, especially if the baby wakes up in the middle of the night. If you have a chair in the room, you can sit comfortably without having to move to other rooms. This chair could be relocated to another location at a later date.
Stimulation is an important factor in the development of a child. You can do this for your child by hanging colorful pictures, paintings, and cell phones that spin and play music. Stimulation is also achieved by different colored toys.
There is always a possibility to decorate and furnish a baby room with modern furniture. The most important factor is that the space is clear, accessible and large enough to prevent the baby from overheating.
